Off-late, there has been some buzz around who should be next ‘Bharat Ratna’ – The highest civilian honour of the country?

Well, I was just sitting and thought about penning down – The Most Deserving for ‘Bharat Ratna’, as per me.

You might feel free to add/comment/share :)

Here is the list (in no particular order of preference):

1. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose – For immense contribution towards Indian freedom struggle

(BTW, Netaji was awarded Bharat Ratan posthumously in 1992 but it was later revoked as Govt. wasn’t able to prove that he was really ‘dead’… what a shame)

2. Shaheed Bhagat Singh – For immense contribution towards Indian freedom struggle

3. Gurudeb Rabindra Nath Tagore – For contribution to Indian literature

4. Atal Bihari Vajpayee – For selfless contribution to Indian politics

5. Raj Kapoor – For his contribution towards Indian cinema

6. R K Laxman – For symbolising the ‘Common Man’

7. Major Dhyanchand – For being the ‘Magician of Hockey’

8. Sachin Tendulkar – For taking Indian Cricket to global heights

9. Dhirubhai Ambani - For being the iconic proof of Indian enterprise

10. N R Narayan Murthy – For making Indian an IT superpower

Abhishek
